Marketing… did I just use a swear word

Stumbled across a pretty cool blog, Katya Andersen. I think she’s done a great job of addressing marketing related stuff for the non-profit sector. So often we in the non-profit sector are cautious, if not absolutely skeptical of marketing stuff – we see it as trying to get us to believe something that isn’t true because it seems so slick. Of course those kinds of campaigns do exist, however the truest and best marketing campaigns I’ve observed are solidly rooted in who an organize really is or what a product really does. Katya has some great things to say – add this one to your blogroll if you’re in any way interested in communication or marketing stuff. She posted this video on her blog last week – I love how it challenges us to be involved in a dialog with those we’re trying to reach, rather than just pumping out information.
